Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra (ESEC), founded in 1979 and part of the Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra (IPC), focuses on areas such as education, arts, multimedia, communication and tourism. In order to achieve its objectives, the school is seeking to increase the number and diversity of courses offered, as well as a strong commitment to partnerships.

ESEC's library is a world of knowledge. You'll have access to a wide
range of resources, from books to rooms where you can work in peace, quiet and
concentration.
You can also borrow the books you need from the library itself. With this access to

it's an asset for you.
Studio
You'll also have access to ESEC's studios. Equipped with professional technology for
audiovisual
production, there you can let your imagination run wild. Cameras, recorders, microphones and
many more quality materials are available so that you can request according to your needs to
develop innovative projects with a specialized team that can help you.
Providing medical appointments to care for those who come to study at ESEC is of great importance, creating conditions to support and respond to physical and mental health issues for those who are far from their family or health support network. All you have to do is join the IPC Health Plan via the SASocial platform, where you can also book appointments, make payments and access other useful information.
Did you know that the IPC also has a gym that you can use as a student? A
space
with all the equipment and professional support you need to maintain an active and healthy
routine. We have cardiofitness, focused on cardiovascular training, a weight room, focused
on
strength and muscular endurance training and group classes.
Opening hours: During the school term, it opens at 9am and close at 8pm.
The IPC CUP is the great internal competition of the Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra. Every year, in collaboration with your Student Association, it organizes an internal tournament that brings together more than 10 sports and regularly counts on the participation of more than 400 student-athletes.
